"Plastic Box" is a song by English singer Jade from her debut solo studio album That's Showbiz Baby (2025). It was released as the album's fourth single through RCA Records on 20 June 2025. The song peaked at number 44 on the UK Singles Chart, and charted for four weeks. A vocoded version was released on 15 August 2025, produced by Finlay "Starsmith" Dow-Smith.

"Plastic Box" was therapeutic for Jade, where the lyrical content addresses insecurities in a relationship. She explained, "While my boyfriend wasn't the biggest fan of it at first, I kept it on the album because I thought it was important to confront that part of myself, and be honest and be vulnerable".[1] She told Clash, "[it's] about that irrational and toxic insecurity within us when we think about our partner's previous relationships, even though we know everyone has a past. It's a happy-sad pop song and one of my favourite songs I've ever written".[2]

Lyrics
[Verse 1]

Found your love letters to her
I'm tryna be cool, but it really fucking hurts
I'll just do what I do
Silently torturin' myself
Was her ocean deeper than mine?
Did you sink into her, fall in love at first sight?
I know we're good, but
I'm constantly comparing myself

[Pre-Chorus]
It's irrational and impossible
'Cause I know you had a life before me
But I'm jealous, obsessive
And I wanna burn all your history, burn your history

[Chorus]
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Oh-oh)
Never used, fully clean, untouched (Oh, oh, ooh)
Like I'm the only one you've ever loved
Can I have your heart in a plastic box?
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Oh)
Never used, fully clean, untouched (Oh-oh, ooh, yeah)
Like I'm the only one you've ever loved (Oh)
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Yeah)

[Verse 2]
Are you sure you feel the same way? (Feel the same way?)
'Cause it took me months, it only took her a day (Uh-huh)
To make you jump in
I read it in your handwritin'

[Pre-Chorus]
It's irrational and impossible
'Cause I know you had a life before me
But I'm jealous of your exes
And I wanna burn all your history (Wanna burn all your history, ah)

[Chorus]
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Oh, oh-oh)
Never used, fully clean, untouched (Oh, oh; Oh yeah)
Like I'm the only one you've ever loved
Can I have your heart in a plastic box?
(Can I have your heart?)
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Oh; Never used, untouched)
Never used, fully clean, untouched (Oh; Only one you loved)
Like I'm the only one you've ever loved (Can I have your heart?)
Can I have your heart in a plastic box?

[Bridge]
Can I have your heart?
Never used, untouched (Mm, oh)
Only one you loved
Can I have your heart? (Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

[Chorus]
(Oh)
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Oh; Never used, untouched)
Never used, fully clean, untouched (Oh, oh; Only one you loved)
Like I'm the only one you've ever loved (Can I have your heart?; You've ever loved)
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Can I have your heart?; Yeah)
Can I have your heart in a plastic box? (Can I? Can I?; Never used, untouched)
Never used, fully clean, untouched (So untouched; Only one you loved)
Like I'm the only one you've ever loved (You've ever loved; Can I have your—)

Can I have your heart in a plastic box?
